Ma. Cristina Suyom is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with almost nine years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, internal and external auditing, and tax compliance in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Since joining Business Process Outsourcing Accounting Services (BPOAS) in May 2022, she has contributed to delivering reliable accounting, auditing, and tax services to clients across various industries.

Cristina possesses extensive experience in statutory audits, financial reporting, internal controls, and tax compliance. Her UAE tax experience includes handling clients in the oil and gas, trading, restaurant, and reinsurance industries. She specializes in Corporate Income Tax return preparation and filing, Value Added Tax (VAT) filings, tax registrations, refund applications, and Tax Residency Certificate applications, helping clients meet their tax obligations and maintain compliance with applicable UAE regulations.

Her professional background includes previous roles as an Internal Auditor at Tenet Healthcare, a Senior Associate Auditor at Sison Corillo Parone and Company, and an Accountant at Ramon F. Garcia & Co., CPAs. These experiences have strengthened her capabilities in audit engagement management, substantive audit procedures, internal control evaluation, and the preparation and review of financial statements with relevant note disclosures.

A graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Cristina is proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. She is recognized for her integrity, accuracy, attention to detail, and proactive approach to problem-solving. Through her technical expertise and commitment to professional excellence, she supports BPOAS in providing quality financial and tax solutions tailored to clients’ business needs.
